ANNA FOX, ANNE McNEILL AND JASON EVANS AT THE BUNKIER SZTUKI CONTEMPORARY ART GALLERY

On May 7th from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. one and all are invited to the Bunkier Sztuki Contemporary Art Gallery, for the press meeting for the opening of two exhibitions in the framework of Photomonth in Krakow. The meeting will feature: artist Anna Fox, Anne McNeill - curator of the Diary of a Cockroach and other stories exhibition, as well as Jason Evans, curator of the Nothing is in the Place exhibition. Both exhibitions will open at 8:00 p.m. on May 7th.

PHOTOMONTH HOSTED BY DELIKATESY.TR IN WARSAW

We warmly welcome you to Photomonth in Krakow in Warsaw (!), for a preview ofJason Evans’s ‘Nothing Is in the Place’. The curator has chosen photographs by Vinka Petersen for the foyer of the Rozmaitosci Theatre in Warsaw, as these perfectly encapsulate the idea of the exhibition. The artist will come to the theatre to speak about the photography of the 1990s and her work. The talk will be accompanied by a screening of the film RAVE, a slide presentation from the RAVES&RIOTS series, and her RIOT GIRL photos. Beforehand, we invite you to the press lunch accompanying the exhibition between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. – at Delikatesy.TR. This will provide a chance for some casual conversation about this year’s Photomonth in Krakow with the organisers: Tomasz Gutkowski, Karol Hordziej and Piotr Lelek.

MARK POWER AT THE INTERNATIONAL CULTURE CENTRE

We are very pleased to announce that we will be hosting Mark Power, whose solo exhibition The Melody of Two Songs will be presented at the International Culture Centre for Photomonth in Krakow. The media opening hours with the artist’s participation will take on 6 May at the ICC, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. We also warmly invite you to come when Mark Power meets with the public, accompanied by a joint visit of the exhibition. Details on the ICC web page - www.mck.krakow.pl

KATY BARRON A GUEST AT PHOTOMONTH

Katy Barron, the curator of the Facts of Life. British Photography 1974-1997exhibition, will be coming to Krakow. This graduate from London’s Courtauld Institute and Oxford will be presenting nearly three decades of photography in dynamically changing Great Britain, as seen through the lens of such stars as Martin Parr, Anne Fox and Tom Hunter. She will be speaking of their vision of British society during the curator’s tour on May 9th at 1:30 p.m. at Krakow’s National Museum. Beforehand, also at the National Museum, we welcome you to a press open house between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., when Katy Barron will be answering all your questions. Come one come all!
