The longest ‘Month’ in the history of the festival – NEW formula

Dear Friends of the Krakow Photomonth! Due to the COVID-19 epidemic and new guidelines from state and local authorities, we want to inform you that we are not canceling the 18th edition of the Festival, but it will be the longest and most innovative ‘Month’ in the history!

What does this mean in practice?

  • Currently we are working on a new festival formula in which most of the events, such as lectures, meetings and guided tours will take place online. Working on it is an extremely exciting challenge for us! We will announce the first effects and the new schedule soon.
  • In the current situation, nothing is certain, but we will do our best to start punctually on 21.05 – we are planning our first online live streams and meetings for this day – Save the Date!
  • We will postpone and extend the time of the exhibitions – by a few, and if necessary by several weeks. We will inform you about new dates of their availability immediately after establishing the details with partner institutions. Of course, this will happen when the situation in the country is already safe.
  • Health and safety of us all – artists, curators, audiences, organizers, supporters – is the most important thing. When the threat is finally over and it will be possible to meet “live” we will invite you to Krakow for a toast. If not in May then in June, if not in June then in July …

Meanwhile, we urge you to stay at home for the sake of your and others safety. Stay healthy, follow our profile and follow the latest government recommendations!

See you soon on May 21 – online!
