In this year’s edition of ShowOFF Section, we received nearly 500 applications from 43 countries! After the session, Jury selected 5 winning projects. We will be able to see them during the upcoming edition of Krakow Photomonth Festival in galleries and museums in Krakow.
Thanks to intense and fruitful discussions, the Jury composed of Bartosz Flak, Silvia Pogoda and Tomasz Lazar selected five laureates with whom they will work during the coming months with a view to creating individual exhibitions. The results of their cooperation will be seen very soon!

“The review of five hundred fresh projects makes us clearly aware of the multitude of photographic languages. Trends, interests and aesthetic borrowings are clearly visible”, says Bartosz Flak. “It is a valuable, refreshing experience for me. I was curious about covid projects, and these dissapointed me a bit, often duplicating media narratives about the times of the pandemic. Winning projects avoid literalness. None of them is about a pandemic but each one come more or less of the experience of the last dozen months.”, adds Bartosz Flak.
